The short version
Parts Out does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server. Everything you enter — the programme, the parts, the players, the photos — is written to storage on your own device and stays there.
What the app stores, and where
Parts Out keeps its records locally, in the app's own sandboxed storage on your iPhone or iPad:

None of this leaves your device. Parts Out has no server to send it to, and no network request is ever made with your ledger data.
Camera
Parts Out asks to use the camera only when you choose to photograph a score's front page or a torn or damaged part, so the librarian's record shows what condition it's in. The photo is saved on your device and attached to that part or piece. It is never uploaded, and the camera is never activated without your action.
Photo library
As an alternative to the camera, Parts Out lets you pick an existing photo of a score or part using Apple's system photo picker. The picker runs outside the app; Parts Out only receives the single image you choose to attach, and never scans or browses the rest of your library.
Notifications
Parts Out can remind you about the Thursday sweep before an engagement, and about collecting parts back afterwards. These are local notifications scheduled on your device by the app itself. No push service or remote server is involved, and no notification data is sent anywhere.
Reading text aloud
The "read aloud" feature in a player's folder uses your device's on-device speech synthesis to speak the list of parts. This happens entirely on the device; nothing is recorded or sent off it.
Sharing
When you use the share button to send a player's list or the running order as text, or export the library as a file, that action opens the standard system share sheet. What you do with the shared text or file after that — for example, sending it in a message you choose to send — is between you and whichever app you pick from the share sheet; Parts Out itself does not transmit it.
Tracking and third parties
Parts Out contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind. It does not link your activity to any identifier, and it does not share data with anyone because it has no mechanism to do so.
Children's privacy
Parts Out is a utility for band librarians and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.
Deleting your data
Because everything is stored locally, deleting the app deletes all of its data with it. Within the app, Settings also lets you restore the sample ledger, which replaces the current one.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date below. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
